My Portland Oregon practice is dedicated to supporting your relationship with food, fitness and body image, where HOW we eat is as important as WHAT we eat.  As a food coach, trainer and counselor I take a  wholeself wellness approach on the critical relationship between HOW we engage with food and how healthy and happy we are.

My unique,  wholistic and client centered approach helps you develop a balanced relationship with food, fitness and body image for life.  This isn’t a weight loss diet.  My unique style is a blend of experiential coaching, counseling and training – this means you learn by doing.  Like the Native American Proverb says, “Tell me and I will forget, show me and I may not remember, involve me and I will understand.”  Under my direct guidance you will learn by participating in and practicing the exact skills you need to be successful.  We will spend time shopping, cooking, and especially eating together, so you can develop a lifestyle for long-term success.  This will gradually lead to weight loss, improved self esteem, fitness, and an overall sense of well-being for your WholeSelf.

I appreciate that on your journey, many thoughts, feelings, ideas and emotions are going to arise that are unique and powerful because they will arise WHILE you are interacting with food.  l will counsel, coach and support you in a kind, non-judgmental way that is reflective and puts you in charge. This humanistic approach is vital because the emotional, spiritual and energetic hurdles are what so often keep you from applying the knowledge, skills and desire you already have for success. This somatic approach to food allows my coaching and counseling skills to combine with the practical acts of shopping, cooking and eating, allowing them to become both process and practice for your WholeSelf relationship with food, fitness and body image.

HOW DOES THIS EXACTLY WORK?

Whether individually or in small groups, we’ll shop at any store you’d like, cook at your home or mine, and practice mindful eating anywhere, including at any restaurant of your choice.  There are few limits on how you and I can work as a team to personalize this process.

I am available for workshops, classes, seminars,  and speaking events as well as professional development for coaches, trainers and health  and wellness providers.

Because my unique approach can best be appreciated through experience, I offer you the chance to work together with a money back guarantee.  If at the end of our first formal appointment you feel that our work together is benefiting you, then we can continue to work together.
